I'm amazed about how comfortable people feel in bringing up weight gain with pregnant women. I've received various comments (all from 'older' family members) about how fat, big, etc.. I'm getting. I'm not mean enough to respond to these comments with some not so choice words, but the thought has crossed my mind. It isn't acceptable to say things like "wow, how much weight have you gained" or "are you sure there isn't twins in there"...get my point. I would never say things like this and don't understand how others just let these comments roll off their tongue. So, as a PSA - I recommend you think before making any weight related comments to a pregnant lady (remember we are hormonal). Think before you speak!
I should mention, in case you are wondering how BIG I am already. I've only gained 4 lbs and I'm almost 18 weeks along. And yes, my belly is growing and will continue to grow - I'm making a baby for pete's sake.
Okay, thank you for making it through my little PSA and vent. I feel better having posted this.
