Welcome

Hello, thanks for visiting my digi-scrapping and family blog. Don't mind the dust, as I am doing a little remodeling of this blog. Thank you, Heather

    7 on Sunday

    1. Jayson and I enjoyed a date night yesterday and went to see Avatar in 3D. It was awesome and we both want to see if again. If you haven't seen it, you should go!

    2. I'm wishing that my lingering cough would just go away already.

    3. I'm happy that I got to play with some new lighting equipment yesterday, in preparation for some fun sessions I'll have at the Janie and Jack Clothing store in a couple weeks.

    4. I am so excited about the new live chat feature on my website and even more excited that the company I host my site with, released this awesome new feature at no additional cost.

    5. Happy Anniversary to my sister, Nora and her husband, Steven. They are celebrating 11 years!

    6. I am hoping that with the turning of the calendar to a new month, the snow will come to an end!

    7. Hunter bowled her new high game yesterday, with a 77. She had two back to back, pocket 7/10s. She gets so excited to watch the pins fall down...it's too cute!

    Seven random thoughts....

    1. I am really over all of the snow and am thankful that March is right around the corner, this means that spring isn't that far away...bring it on!

    2. I'm still going strong with working out 4-5 days a week. I haven't seen the scale move much this week, but am not getting discouraged yet. I know that there will be periods that the scale doesn't move, but I have noticed a change in the way my clothes fill. Losing 12 lbs feels good and I am excited to keep going with the last 10-15 lbs.

    3. I think the girls are getting cabin fever and can't wait for the weather to change also. Hunter has started acting out this past week. She is so head strong (which she gets from both Jayson and I), that right now it's getting her into trouble when she doesn't listen.

    4. Aubrey is cutting the last of her baby teeth and I can't wait until they come in. She is starting to talk more. Her newest words are - watch, that and ball.

    5. I am waiting to hear if I will be selected for a couple digital scrapbooking creative teams I applied to. I'm so excited and hope that I will be chosen for one (if not all three) of them. I'll keep you informed!

    6. We have bowling tonight. This is the part of the season when it gets harder and harder to go each week. We've been bowling on Sunday since September and I'm ready to have my Sunday nights back...only a couple more months to go!

    7. I am on the hunt for some good workout music. I want some hip/hop, dance stuff ...something with a good beat that can help to keep me going on the AMT. Leave me a comment if you can recommend something. Thanks!

    7 on Sunday

    1.  I'm excited that it's Super Bowl Sunday for a couple reasons.  Most importantly, that the Steelers are playing in the BIG GAME.  GO STEELERS!  And secondly, because there is no bowling tonight. Each year about this time in the season, I start to wish for my Sunday's back.  I wish for relaxing Sunday evenings at home with no where to go.  There is only 3 more months to go - almost there!

    2.  I have had a great weekend with the girls.  Jayson has been away on a bowling tournament, so I've been hanging out with Aubrey and Hunter all weekend.  However, we all miss Jayson and are looking forward to seeing him later today.

    3. And since I've had the evenings to myself, I've spent time reading Breaking Dawn (almost done) and scrapping...all without feeling guilty for enjoying those things I like to do.

    4.  My good friend Amanda is coming over today for a play date.  I'm looking forward to visiting with her and Emma.  I believe we are going to setup the seamless paper and take some shots of the kids - wish us luck!

    5.  I'm sick of looking outside and seeing snow and ice.  I tried to do a little shoveling yesterday and couldn't believe the thick layer of ice under the snow.  We are expecting the high to get near 40 degrees today and I hope it melts a lot of the white stuff!

    6.  I can register for spring quarter classes tomorrow.  I already have my schedule planned out, but tomorrow is the day I get to complete the registration process.  I'm excited and a little nervous to be returning to school.  I'm enrolled in the Columbus State Community College Digital Photography program.  I'm very excited to be able to pursue courses that really excite me.  I won't have to worry about all the normal/general education classes since I've already completed those, many years ago.  Another plus for this program is the majority of classes are offered either via the web or are a hybrid class (combination of web and classroom), so I shouldn't have to spend a lot of time on campus.  You might be asking yourself, why am I taking classes....When I get focused on something, I spend a lot of energy seeking and adsorbing knowledge about that subject.  With photography, I research the web, I take part in photography web forums and I've purchased various books and I feel that taking classes will only help to strengthen my technical knowledge.  I can't wait....

    7.  I think Aubrey is working on getting her first tooth.  I'll keep you informed when it finally breaks through.

    1.  Jayson and I started drinking protein/fruit smoothies this week.  We are really enjoying them and so is Hunter.  We give her a little smoothie without the protein and she loves her "berries".

    2.  I'm back into the swing of things with working out and reading Breaking Dawn.  I can't wait to finish the book!  And will be ready to read the series all over again.

    3.  Jayson got a GREAT deal on a new carpet cleaning through this work.  Oh, how I love this thing.  In a house with a dog, husband and 2 kids a good cleaner is a must.  So, easy to use and works great.

    4.  We've purchased our tickets to Vegas!  I'm so excited to having a little vacation to look forward too.  Jayson is going out a couple days before me, but I can't wait to get on the plane and just relax for 3 days.  We aren't going for a couple more months...but I can't wait!

    5.  I am no longer an active Pampered Chef consultant (as of the end of January).  If you were a previous customer and need any PC products in the future, I can point you in the right direction.

    6.  I'm ready for spring!  I'm so over the cold and snow!

    7.  Just another week until the Super Bowl...I can't wait to watch the Steelers take on the Cardinals...GO STEELERS!!

    7 on Sunday

    1.  I have dinner already cooking in the crock pot - Pot Roast with mushroom gravy.  Of course, it includes all the staples - beef chuck roast, red potatoes, baby carrots, onion wedges and celery.  It also calls for a package of mushrooms.  The gravy is a mixture of beef broth, mushroom gravy and beef stew seasoning.   YUMMY!

    2. I'm loving the crock pot this weekend.  We made a pot of chili yesterday and of course the pot roast today.  Makes life easy and we get some good comfort food, which is perfect for this time of year!

    3. Aubrey is 5 months old today.  I can't believe how fast time is going.

    4. I learned today was a celery rib is.  Do you know?!  I didn't know if the "rib" was just a stalk or if it was more than a stalk...I had no clue.  Well in case you don't know, it's a stalk.

    5.  I'm still reading Breaking Dawn.  I've slowed down a little bit on the Twilight series.  I think this has a direct link with #6.

    6.  I've been a slacker in working out...shame on me.  I had a hard time getting into the workout room last week.  My goal is for this coming week to be better, which means I can get back to finishing #5.

    7.  I picked the top three entries in the Messmer Photography wedding give away.  I'm so excited and can't wait to finalize and make the announcement of the winning couple.

    7 on Sunday

    1.  I worked out 4 days this week during my lunch hour.  I logged 4 hours on the stationary bike.  I didn't even notice the time because I was able to ride and read Eclipse all at the same time.  I've now started the 4th book, Breaking Dawn.

    2. I'm sad we didn't get any snow yesterday!  Now, normally I wouldn't be - I hate driving in it.  But since it was a Saturday and I could be at home with the family...I really wanted to play with Hunter in it.

    3.  I really dislike doing laundry...it's never ending!

    4.  It warms my heart to hear Hunter being polite.  Of course, we've worked with her on saying "please" , "thank you"  and "your welcome".  And now, she'll say those words without a reminder.

    5.  Jayson is bowling in a tournament this afternoon.  I hope he is able to bowl well.

    6.  I'm working on tagging all of my digital scrapbooking files by type and color.  This is going to be a big project, but once complete I'll be able to find what I'm looking for so much faster.

    7.  Aubrey is trying to suck her thumb...which doesn't make Jayson (or I) happy.  While, I do think it's adorable...I know that we would prefer that's a habit we didn't have to break.

    7 on Sunday

    1. I'm addicted to the Twilight series. Since Monday, I have read the first 2 books (Twilight and New Moon) and I am well into the 3rd book, Eclipse.

    2. I love my new cell phone. For Christmas, Jayson got me the LG Voyager Titanium. I love the keyboard...it makes
texting so much faster and easier.

    3. The world returns to normal tomorrow. My vacation is over and it's back to work. I haven't worked a full work week in 3 weeks, so my guess is this is going to be a LONG week to get through. Jayson also begins the winter quarter tomorrow.

    4. I was at the grocery store at 6:45 this morning. I've learned to love doing my grocery shopping very early in the day, so I can get it done and over with before the girls get going with their day.

    5. I'm making Chicken and Noodles for dinner today....yummy!

    6. And since I return to work tomorrow, I am recommitting myself to working out each day of the week. It shouldn't be that difficult (knock on wood) since I have the use of the workout room at work. I just have to make the commitment and stick too it...wish me luck!

    7. Aubrey is finally starting to get into a better napping pattern. She has even napped in her crib a few times during my vacation. I hope this continues! However, I have to work on her not getting me up at 3:30am...why can't she wait just a little bit longer...I just an hour and 1/2 more :)
