Baby #2 Update

Jayson and I got to see our little bean yesterday at your doctor's appt. The baby is measuring right on track and the heartbeat was 154 bpm (and in case you're wondering Hunter's heartbeat always ran around 140 bpm). The baby was active, rolling and flipping around. And he or she even waved to us. I should have the results of the NT Scan and blood work in a week or so. I can't even put into words how relieved I am to know that the baby is growing and doing great. I've been driving myself sick with worry since the last appt since I had no way of knowing FOR SURE that all was doing well. I know it may sound a little silly, but I feel like now I can let myself be truly excited about this little one who will be joining our family in August. Not to say I wasn't excited as soon as I saw those two lines on the HPT, but I was reserved in my excitement in the event something went wrong in the first trimester. All the nervousness is gone and I'm beaming with the pregnancy glow! And in case you are wondering, my blood pressure was wonderful yesterday also - 118/62.

Yesterday, Hunter and I were watching "Bringing Home Baby" and she was excited to see the baby on the TV. She has been saying "baby" more frequently lately. Her Miss Kim (her sitter) watching a little guy, who Hunter calls baby. While watching the show, I told her mommy has a baby in her tummy and she did the cutest thing - she lifted up my shirt to look for the baby. I'm sure she thought I was crazy because of course she didn't see a baby under there. I'm so excited to see how she reacts to my growing belly and when she is able to feel her sibling moving around.
