Baby Messmer Update

I had my first doctor's appointment on Thursday and things are looking good. The EDD is 8/30, which means this little one will be joining us sometime at the end of August. I will have a scheduled c-section, which my doctor does a week before the due date. This little one could be sharing a birthday with one of the grandpa's. My dad's birthday is 8/22 and my father-in-law's birthday is 8/25.

I received an ultrasound and have pictures of the little bean. I'll post a the pictures, as soon as I get them scanned. I was able to see the little heart beating and we have 2 arms and 2 legs forming. And the doctor says I have a nice thick placenta, which is great.

I have instructions to limit how much I carry Hunter since I should not carry anymore than 25 lbs. This will be a challenge, but I'll do my best to follow doctor's orders. Next appt scheduled for 2/22 and I'll be having an ultrasound that time also. Due to my high risk status (blood pressure related), I have a good chance of getting an ultrasound every month. And since we have an interest in finding out the gender of the baby, we could find out in April.
